How it works

Completely Anonymous, Completely Safe

=

Phone calls are not recorded and there is no CallerID. E-mail addresses and IP addresses are NEVER captured, tracked, or saved.

=

Information about a violent crime (homicide, robbery, stabbing, shooting, sexual assualts, etc.) are prioritized, however, Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers is always willing to receive tips related to any type of crime.

=

When a tip leads to an arrest and indictment, you will receive a reward up to $1,000. You will not have to testify in court.

Remember, we don’t have to know who YOU are to know who THEY are.

Questions?

Our 3-step process

Report A Tip

There are three ways you can report a tip: by phone app, by calling it in, or by filling out a website form. If you use the P3 cell phone app it is easy to check back on the status of your tip. We recommend using the app!

1) Download the app (available for both iPhone and Android mobile phones)

2) Call 804-780-1000

3) Fill out the P3 web form

Get a code

2

Once you submit a tip, you will receive a special code to use for future interactions. Save the code – it is the only way for us to communicate with you.

Never share your secret code number with anyone and never give your name or any information that could identify you to Crime Stoppers.

Check back

Using your special code, you can check back to obtain info about your case – and possible reward! It’s easy to check using the mobile app. If you called in your tip or submitted using the website, learn more about checking in.
